My Approach

Women’s Existential Process Group.

As a relational therapist, my priority is to create a safe and supportive space for you to show up authentically. This means you won’t ever feel judged, and therapy will be your space to process any thoughts, feelings, or experiences that are relevant to you.

My areas of speciality include anxiety, interpersonal/relationship struggles, early childhood/relational trauma, self-esteem, and quarter-life crisis/existential concerns.

My approach is grounded in existential and humanistic therapy, which means I don’t jump to pathologizing or diagnosing my clients but rather seek to understand them as a human. My approach focuses on what is needed to live a more fulfilling life, developing a strong sense of self, living in accordance with one’s values, and understanding the givens of human existence.

At the end of the day, I want you to know:

You aren’t alone in your experience.

The Process

01

Prepare

We’ll do a 20-30 minute phone screening to determine if you’re a good fit for this women’s process group. I’ll give you any relevant information about starting group and answer any questions you might have.

02

Engage

I’ll give you a start date, and you’ll come to group with an open mind. There’s no need to prepare for group therapy, but it can be helpful for you to share with other members a little about yourself and what brings you to group.

03

Integrate

As you start to feel more comfortable with the group, you’ll begin to share more about your personal life, your experiences, and support others as they open up. You can expect to build genuine, meaningful connections with others in group.

Frequently asked questions —

  • You do not need to actively be in therapy, but group therapy can be a great supplement to individual therapy. Group is a great option for experiencing a sense of belonging and acceptance, receiving support from peers, and connecting with others who are navigating similar life circumstances. In a group setting, you'll strengthen your interpersonal skills while in connection with other group members.

Group therapy is also a great option for mental health care that is more accessible. The fee for attending group sessions is typically much lower than the fee for individual therapy. I am happy to discuss what type of therapy will best match your needs during a free consultation call.

  • This group will remain open indefinitely, and will be available for however long you need. I do ask that you commit to at least 8 sessions (4 months) for the cohesiveness of the group.

  • Life happens, so it's expected that you might miss a few groups here and there. However, if more than 3 groups are missed within a 3 month period, we will re-evaluate your readiness for group and ability to commit at this time.

Because this group has a limited number of spots, you will pay for your reserved spot in group whether or not you are able to attend ($70 per group).
