Anxiety Therapy in Houston
Sound like you?
Anxiety can manifest in many different forms and can deeply interfere with quality of life. Anxiety is a natural human emotion that we all experience at times, but can feel debilitating if we don’t know how to manage it.
Experience relief with anxiety therapy.
you’re not alone.
Our attempts at controlling anxiety can often intensify our suffering. That’s because avoidance and unhealthy coping mechanisms only work in the short-term. If you’re ready to learn long-term strategies to address your anxiety symptoms and help you experience relief, therapy can help.
My online therapy practice in Houston specializes in the high-functioning professional, and I see individuals who often feel like their life looks good on the outside, but what they are feeling internally is quite different. You don’t have to face your struggle with anxiety alone—I’m here to support you every step of the way.
How I can help
I’ll help you develop the tools needed to better manage your anxiety and create more ease in your life.
Many people find that their anxiety symptoms are related to specific situations in their life—such as relationships, self-esteem, decision making, work demands, etc. Others find that their anxiety is more generalized. However it’s presenting, if anxiety is affecting your quality of life, therapy can help you develop the tools needed to not just get by—but to truly thrive.
This is also why your therapy sessions are tailored to you. As a humanistic therapist, I’m not going to pathologize you or jump to diagnosing you with an anxiety disorder. We’ll talk about realistic, practical strategies for you to implement in your day to day life.
My goal as an anxiety therapist is to provide a safe space for you to process your thoughts and feelings without judgment. Therapy is a collaborative relationship where we’ll work on your goals together.
I’ll give you feedback and help you recognize any blind spots or unhealthy patterns that might be contributing to your anxiety. We’ll also explore your past so I can get a full understanding of you and your story, and how I can best help you. My hope is for you to feel more empowered, confident, and in control of your life.
Together, we’ll work towards creating a healthier present and future so that you can live life with more presence, connection, and alignment.
Here’s what we’ll do together
I believe in modern therapy that allows for a genuine connection.
While I pull from the gold-standard, evidence-based modalities, my approach in therapy is down to earth and relational so that you can feel comfortable showing up as your authentic self.
In therapy, we’ll work on changing your relationship to your anxiety and creating new, healthier narratives. We’ll talk about coping skills that you can implement so that you can start to experience some relief and discover which techniques work best for you. We’ll also explore other areas in your life that are relevant and that will help us understand what’s contributing to your anxiety, as well as what’s keeping you stuck in unhelpful thoughts and patterns.
My goal is to help you better understand yourself and your emotions and support you in creating long-lasting, positive changes for your life.
Therapy for anxiety is personalized and evidence-based.
While I offer a modern, person-centered approach to therapy, I am also pulling from evidence-based modalities to help you develop effective tools to cope with your anxiety. This means that research has shown these interventions truly work—and we’ll talk about how you can apply them to your own life.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapeutic modality that addresses the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Because these are often unconscious, therapy helps you become more aware around how your thoughts and behaviors are impacting your emotions.
With new insight, we then begin to challenge any automatic, unhelpful thoughts and behaviors. As this process unfolds, you can expect to feel more at ease in your day to day and more in touch with the present moment.
-
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is a therapeutic modality that focuses on changing how we interact with our thoughts and emotions. The core components of ACT are mindfulness, acceptance of thoughts and feelings, taking action on one’s values, and practicing detachment from distressing thoughts and feelings.
-
Mindfulness-Based Therapy will help you develop healthier coping skills that keep you grounded and present. With mindfulness therapy, we’ll discuss grounding techniques and distress tolerance skills that will help you regulate your nervous system and feel less anxious.

Yep! Research shows that online therapy is just as effective as in-person therapy. In some cases, online therapy is actually preferred over in-person therapy, especially if you struggle with social anxiety or feel anxious about starting the therapy process.
Many people find it more comfortable to be in their own space and not worry about the hassle of commuting or adjusting their schedule to fit therapy in.
