Houston therapist

Quality & effective therapy for women navigating anxiety, relationships, self-esteem, and life.

Anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem are some of the many struggles that women face in today’s modern world. As a millennial female therapist, I understand many of these experiences firsthand and deeply empathize with the obstacles that women face today. I also know from personal experience just how important (and life-changing) it is to prioritize yourself and your mental health.

As a therapist, I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where women can show up authentically. Therapy is a safe space to process whatever is going on with you, and receive feedback to begin making positive changes for yourself.

Together, we’ll explore your history to understand how your past experiences have shaped you and identify any barriers that are keeping you stuck. As I get to know more about you, I’ll provide interpretations and feedback to deepen your awareness and strengthen your relationship to yourself. Therapy will support you in making meaningful, lasting changes so that you can live a life that feels meaningful and authentic to you.

Therapy can help women struggling with:

  • Anxiety & Stress

  • Depression

  • Relationship Issues

  • Family Issues

  • Life Transitions

  • Self-Esteem

  • Childhood Trauma

  • Body Image

Together we’ll explore what an authentic and meaningful life looks like to you

My goal as a therapist is to provide a safe and supportive space where you can freely express your thoughts, feelings, and concerns without judgement. In therapy, I’ll maintain a balance of supporting you and gently challenging you to make changes and see things from a new perspective. I see therapy as a collaborative relationship that supports you in making lasting improvements in your life.

my approach in therapy

A therapy approach tailored to your unique personality and needs.

We’ll work towards deepening your self-awareness, implementing healthy coping skills, and challenging unhelpful behavioral and thought patterns. Each person has their own unique set of circumstances, which is why therapy is highly individualized. While I pull from many different theories, I am a humanistic and existential therapist, which means I don’t jump to pathologizing or diagnosing you to understand your struggles. We’ll work to uncover the root cause behind your pain and challenges, and process any unresolved experiences from your past.

More questions about therapy for women?

  • Therapy is your space to talk about anything and everything. I’ll never pressure you to talk about anything you don’t feel comfortable with, but it is typically helpful for me to get an understanding of your background and past experiences to know how to best support you in therapy.

During our first few sessions, I’ll ask questions about what brings you to therapy and what you’re hoping to work on in therapy. As sessions continue, you’ll bring in whatever is on your mind that day, or any thoughts and emotions you might want to process. This can include relationships, work stress, life transitions, family history, body image, sex, etc. Nothing is off the table in therapy.

  • The time spent in therapy is different for everyone. I’m here to provide support for however long you need. I do typically recommend new clients starting off with weekly sessions so we can build trust and gain traction on your goals. From there, you’ll eventually taper down to bi-weekly, monthly, or as needed sessions.

Some clients are in therapy short-term to focus on specific goals and solutions, and others enjoy being in therapy long-term to have ongoing support for processing their thoughts and feelings.

  • You are not alone in feeling this way. It can feel intimidating to start therapy! This is why my priority is to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can show up authentically.

This is also why it’s so important to find a therapist you feel comfortable with. If you’re feeling uncertain about starting therapy, you can always reach out to me for a free 15 minute consultation to see what it’s like speaking with me. I’ll answer any questions you have about the process of therapy, and help determine if we’d be a good fit to work together. Therapy is a personal decision and you get to decide when you are ready to start the process.
